I am in love. Absolutely smitten with a teeny tiny little one named Rhyan. I am as well in love with her name, so creative and fits this baby girl already. We shot her session outside to get the best lighting and we worked quickly, once she finally fell asleep she was ASLEEP. Just like I like em'. She has a beautiful head of dark black curls and tiny but long toes. I brought these angel wings and halo and could she be any sweeter? I would die for a shot like this with baby number 2... when that comes along! I am also in love with this family shot of the hands and baby girl. Seriously... it rocks my world.

How to dress for your family portrait!

I think about this topic all the time! Recently, while waiting for a client at a local park, I watched what I deem to be a crap step outside the studio photographer whip out 3 sessions in about an hour and I kid you not ALL 3 families had on the same outfit. I dare you to guess... can't think of what it could be?!?! Let me tell ya! All 3 separate families wore khaki's and white shirts, little girls in solid white dresses and little boys in white polo's and khaki shorts. Don't get me wrong, I love a little girl in a beautiful white gown but in my opinion I want your family photo's to POP on your wall. I want people to think "Dang, that is so Eliza" or "I love that dress Beth!" as well as to see past the clothes and admire your beautiful faces. There is a very fine line and I struggle with it myself however, it is better to have John and Robert in similar polo's versus matching. I always advise to go with a color scheme versus matching. You did not pop out 4 children who are all the same individual and there is no reason to dress them that way (hello 1984)! I am going to link to another blog post that describes it all and displays the clothes out in a way I am not even sure how to master! Needless to say SHE say's it perfectly. I am also going to post some examples of my favorite families rocking it!

It's been a long time...

Wow, I have not blogged a session in SO LONG! It sort of just got away from me, but all that is coming to a halt. No more! Be prepared to see an onslaught of blogging of everything from the business to little bits of my little man, tips and tricks, and how to's and most of all lots and lots of photography. We have created a company that focus's on kids being them selves but have branched it out to, weddings, seniors, newborns, events, businesses' and business head shots. So far I haven't said no to anything, I am not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing but right now it is what it is. My clients, the one's I "stole" from the crap studio I worked at to begin with have made so much of my company come full circle. We are friends, I love their children and although many of them haven't met mine yet based off their comments on Facebook I would say he is pretty high up there! He is my little blessing, he has taken so much of my time away from the business but I wouldn't change it for the world. I can't even imagine where life would be with out him or who I was before him. I am so looking forward to sharing more with you about my clients, my business and my family!

One of my goals for 2010 was to get better about blogging - its half way through February and I guess I haven't gotten very far. Snap. It is a goal though! I will get better. I have a lot to post about and am shooting sessions all the time, I just forget to blog. I also am a blog stalker and read other people's blogs CONSTANTLY so some how my own seems to fall to the wayside. It is February over here in Saint Louis and its warm right now fabulously warm. I am in love. I love to sit in my car in the winter pretending I am at the beach and just bake in the sun because clearly its far too cold to sit outside! But, life has been good on our end, lots of new things happening and lots to talk about. This is a quick post because I must get outside to play! Damn snow go away!

Its 4:46am to be exact! I love my house at this time, my husband's alarm hasn't gone off 50 million times, the baby has sweetly fallen back into a deep sleep, the dogs are asleep and not bugging me to go outside and I can just sit for a minute and stare out my dark windows. Of course, I do get the pleasure of looking across the street at the woman who I am pretty sure never sleeps. She is often awake when I am which is different every night. I am trying to get Jay into a good sleep schedule but its much harder then I thought it would ever be. In the meantime yesterday I got to photograph a session I have been dying to shoot for months! My Molly, I have babysat for her since she was in 2nd grade! Now she is a senior at Ursuline Academy, an excellent soccer player and all around fun girl! She also brought her bestie Mel, who will soon be babysitting little Jay for me! I can't wait! Mel is also super active at Ursuline playing basketball and lacrosse and she was so sweet! I loved spending time with them and their mama's... its amazing to be a mama and watch mama's who have raised their babies so WELL! I love it! With out further ado here are my beautiful girls!

So I decided that I would get a little more personal with my blog and despite my uploading issues I would come back because to be honest I miss it! Now that I have my own little man I want this blog to be a mix of him and my work because all those he is most important, the company is right there behind him. So meet Lil Man! He is 4 1/2 months old and already tearing though my house, he is scooting like crazy and sitting up on his own. Often he makes these CRAZY faces, expressions you would only see on an old man. Yet, here they are on the sweetest most lovable face I have ever seen! He is my holiday baby, he was born on Easter, 3 months on the 4th of July and hits all the fabulous photography milestones as he reaches his own. I plan on tying everything in together here, what I am learning, what I am scratching, what I am thinking and where we eventually hope to be going. I will post questions and hope for responses and comments and I look forward to interacting with all of you as my little web world grows!

June & Tim's Engagement

Meet June and Tim! I love them! They are such a great couple and you can totally tell they are madly in love and I am not sure it gets any better than that! There wedding is this October which is perfect for them as they are HUGE baseball fans in fact they met waiting for World Series Tickets just a few years ago! Thank goodness the Cardinals went to the World Series or where would these two be! I am so excited they chose us to photograph their wedding and can not wait for their special day!

Life is Busy!

S0... most Mama's take off 6-12 weeks, but not this Mama I have been back to work since James' was 2 weeks old! So much for taking it easy... but its not really in me to be that way! I am going to dropload 3 sessions on here quickly as my time is limited before little man decides to arise again! Enjoy!

A few months ago, actually it was awhile ago I photographed the senior pictures for one of my girls! I say she is one of my girls because I have babysat for their family since she was in 4th grade! Now she is graduating high school and I feel like time is passing by me so quickly. I really home James doesn't grow that fast but as I hear they all do! This past Friday night however she let me tag along with her and her friends and photograph them for their prom! It was so much fun!

Well, although it may appear as I haven't been working I have! I promise, I swear. But, my little family of two has recently become a family of three! On April 4th at 12:26 we welcomed our little bundle of joy into the world, James Andrew. We could not be more excited. He is absolutely perfect and as sweet as can be! I have been busy photographing him as everyone knew that I would. We had an amazing session in my mother in law's garden and with my father's motorcycle... he slept like a dream and it was everything I could have ever wanted it to be!

Alright, I have a great nephew, not may 26 year old people can say that but I do and I love him! Alot!! This past weekend his mom asked me to shoot her family and of course that included him, we went to the Jewel Box and the Spanish Pavillion because the weather has been so touch and go. It was awesome! I had such an amazing time with them, they said all the funny things I wanted them too and Dad was a really good sport! I can't wait to shoot them again when the weather is nice this fall!

Just as I celebrated with Mark and Jody for little Ms L's one month session, I was also able to photograph my god daughter's 1st birthday! Her 1st birthday... where the heck has the last year gone?!?!? I really thought she wouldn't grow as fast as she did but it flew by! Here are just a few of cake eating pictures!! It was so fun! I can't wait for my little man's 1st birthday... I mean I can but I can't!!

Oh how fast these babies grow! I can't stand it! It makes me fear my own little one's growth, I look at the little girls I used to babysit for who were 8 and 7 and the time and they are now 18 and 17. They are taking trips to Portugal and planning for college, it is nuts to me. In the mean time I got to hold little Ms. L and love on her again! L's mommy and daddy are very good friends of my family, and her Daddy although he is about 10 years older than I am we grew up together. Its fun to be having babies and little ones at the same time! I am so glad we are having babies together because its giving me an opportunity to catch up with them and we are definitely making it up with Ms L!

Last weekend my new little friend L came along alot earlier than we had planned she was due to arrive on the 22nd and came on the 7th! I gotta love a girl with her own plans! Jen and I went to their house and photographed the whole family as well as Dad is not only a fireman, but a policeman and an EMT and mom is a police woman! They had so many great props for us to work with it was so fun! L also has a brother named R and he just turned 4 so he could not have been anymore fun to photograph with his new little sister!

A Good Family Friend

This post is for Keshia.. she has been in our family's life forever... and so have her boys! My grandmother is very good friends with her and loves stealing those boys of hers to go bowling and the science center and anywhere they will drag her. I swear its keeping her young! So Ms. Keshia has had a slew of health problems over the years and wanted some pictures done with her boys! I said Yes Ma'm and headed her way! I love these little guys... Ok they aren't little anymore but they are still little in my head, memories etc. They were such good smilers and really enjoyed the session which always makes any session good!

Last week one of my clients that has been with me since before I officially started asked me to photograph her sister and her family while they were in town from Florida! They have the 3 cutest boys ever, a 7 year old and twin 5 year old boys. I am going to photograph everyone this summer again and I can't wait to get those little ones outside! I am learning more and more about indoor shoots and as we all know this is a learning process for me but its a great one! None the less these little guys kept me hopping and they were so good... everyone always expects a handful out of boys but they weren't they were so sweet! We also played outside, the first time they had ever seen snow! I wish it had dumped a little more but we took what we received!

Giving Back...

I am the worst blogger ever... maybe when Baby gets here I will get better about it, I will come up with a system to be better! I am hoping to add Baby to this blog instead of doing his own blog because I just don't think I can keep up with that! None the less, a client of mine who had recently done pictures with me had a gift card with me given to her and although we love each other dearly I had already seen her 4 times in 2009. So, she so nicely popped it up onto a forum I think and the R family picked it up! Their girls are 6 and 4 and beautiful. I asked the oldest child if people called her Abby short for Abigail and she said Yes and her adorable four year old sister said and "People call me Natalie short for Natalie". It was so cute!! I had such a great time hanging out with them at the Jewel Box! Also the R family have a string of genes that affect blue eyes and make them stunning! I have never seen eyes like this but am so thankful that I was able to and am able to share it with you!

Hello Everyone! Please don't think that because I haven't posted alot doesn't mean I haven't been busy! I have been slammed! Sometimes, I just totally forget to ask a family if I can blog about them and then it gets away from me, I probably have about 10 sessions that way. If we do a session and you remember and are okay with it please mention to me that you are fine with me blogging about you! I have done some really amazing sessions in home and at the Jewel Box in Forest Park and I promise when I get a minute to ask those Momma's I will be blogging about them! We are also 24 weeks pregnant! I can't even believe it! I remember 11 weeks ago just praying to get to that 12 week mark. Now here we are floating right along, its coming so quick! Last night my husband was leaning down to listen to baby because my mom swears she can hear him swishing around and I felt baby kick right at my belly button and so did my husband... right in his ear (holy runon sentence batman). I wish I had a picture of my husband's face to post because it was so cute! I have been feeling Baby for a few weeks now but it is fun for my husband to share that experience. I can't wait for him to get here to have my own little model. Although, most kids of photographers are the WORST in front of the camera because well, we have been taking their picture since day 1! If I don't get on here before the holidays, I hope everyone enjoys and I am so looking forward to whatever 2010 has to bring my way!! My Little Man... Ok he's not really mine but I would claim him!

This is my little man CJ, who decides when we will take pictures, and what kind of mood he will be in! I started photographing him a year ago at Sears (YUCK!) and converted his mother to my style of photography! Okay, it wasn't a real tooth puller but I did steal her away! I love this little guy! He has spunk and attitude and I love that! He also is busy and really starting to come into his own little being. The other MAJOR problem is he is really really cute!! He has the best facial expressions and is starting to get to an age where he understands the only time he see's me is when I want him to smile so he really isn't going to play that game. But I did get some great shots!

A couple of weeks ago I received and email from a mom who had searched under "Autism Photographer" and she found me! I could hardly believe it my excitement was near explosion!! On my list of dreams that is in my top 5! She had three children a 15 year old son, a 10 year old daughter and a 6 year old son, and she wanted pictures of them. In their previous experiences their littlest guy with autism was never quite in the crew with everyone else when it came to the family picture! He did amazing! He was so cute and so fun and so sweet to work with! Her older children were excellent helpers. I never know walking into a session with a special needs child what to expect, I do ALOT of praying and hope that I get something atleast a few shots! With this family I got a TON of shots and he really could not have been better. He was such a fantastic model! I look forward to working with more families with children with autism and though they won't all go as smoothly as they did with this family I know they will be successful! PS The temperature during this session was about 39 degrees, needless to say we worked quickly and kept moving!

The reason I am in this business...

Today, I received one of the best compliments of my life. A mother who I have known for a very long time told me that the reason I am in this business is because of a photograph I took of her son with autism. I could not have been pleased with her comment and it really made my year. I work so hard to provide my clients with painless and fun sessions. I want everyone to feel like family and to know that I really do take an interest in their needs, wants and desires. I want you to walk into your house every day and look at your portraits hanging on the wall and think "that is so my kid". I want your kiddo's to walk away from a session feeling loved and beautiful/handsome and to tell you they had fun. I don't want anyone to ever feel stressed or overwhelmed. I work with special needs kids because I really feel a connection with every kid I work with! I will not lie to you I am nervous the first ten minutes because not only am I meeting a kid for the first time, I am meeting a kid who is typically known not to make eye contact or to respond to strangers. But, the minute I put my camera in my hands and I get that first great shot I know that it is exactly where I am suppossed to be. I am going to share a picture from a recent session of a kiddo with autism. I am in love with it an I am going to frame it with his mom's compliment and frame it in my office. There are days I wonder if I really made the right decision when I up and quit my job and started this company and it will be an excellent reminder to myself that I did. I know that I did. This is exactly where I am suppossed to be!

I can't believe lil' M is 1!! I was so happy with how smiley and fun she was! In the past I have not been very funny in her book and Daddy had to do most of the work but this time around we played hard!! Maybe being in her own home, her own element really helped. While, I was there I learned that M was recently diagnosed with a milk and egg allergy... where are all these allergies coming from? I am allergic to peanuts, all tree nuts, bananas, apples and kiwi! But, I have been that way since I was about 7, so its old news to me. But, milk and eggs? Think about all the things you eat that have milk and eggs... I told her mom atleast she won't ever have a weight problem, she will always be a skinny mini!! None the less, she had so much personality and was absolutely the cutest thing I have ever seen! I loved playing with her! Thanks Jen and Steve!!

I have been busy. This baby thing is taking over my life (2 weeks from today we find out what the baby is). I have not been blogging like I should and I am going to play catch up tonight! I can not wait for baby to get here so I can blog and take pics and take pics and blog. There will be alot of blogging then! But back to what I love... my kids! The ones that I did not give birth to anyway!

T, is one my favorites I must admit it. I have watched her since she was 3 and I love the kiddo she is growing in to! I can't believe how long and thick her gorgeous blonde hair is I would give anything for that! Her brother R, man, what a little man he has grown into! I couldn't get over how tall he was or the fact that he was such a trooper! I can not wait to continue to photograph them over the next few years! I love keeping in touch with my families!

Alot Going On...

There has been alot going on and I am really behind on posting. Although, I am not positive that anyone even reads this, I do like using it for new clients to go and check out our work. I am going to try and catch up with just a few words and more pictures! On Sunday, I did a day of sessions on my own and this Sunday I am doing it again but I am making another photographer come along as well! My breathing with this baby is doing so well so I definetly need a second set of hands. None the less, I photographed 3 lovely familes and my first family of the day was so patient with me. Normally, I am patient with them but that day they rocked for me let me just tell you how my day started.... I woke up late, got sick, went out to my car to realize it had been ransacked in the night from someone looking for quick cash, nearly ran out of gas on my way to the shoot and when I got there and pulled out my camera I realized I didn't have my memory card. Awesome! Atleast their pictures turned out incredible!!

A few weeks ago I photographed my friend Katy and her fiance Steve at Old St. Charles. I met Katy about 6 years ago in college and we managed to stay friends. I am so glad we did because she is one of my favorite people! I was suppossed to be in her wedding but the baby's due date and her wedding are the same day! So, we opted out however I get rockstar front row seating! I am so sad I won't be in her wedding but she already knows she will be one of the first people I call when Baby Cheddar does arrive! Anyway, we had a great time and again the rain stopped just in time for my sessions. I guess all my praying is working well!

Today, I photographed another fabulous family from the metro parents group that I stuck my information on! They were so stinking cute! I love photographing families that are so in love! They have the greatest little rollie pollie man, I will call T (which I am in love with his name as well). I pray my baby is a lil rollie pollie too there are so many cute pics you can get of their naked little butts! Anyway, we snuck over to Lafayette Square Park again and I feel like every time I go there it is totally different. I find new spots that I love and I am able to give each client their own special photographs. I think that is really key to being able to use the same location more than once. I love to think outside the box. I brought quite a few props today but we mostly used the radio flyer wagon. So stinkin' cute! I am in love with their family shots! Enjoy! I love love love this family! They are so amazing! They have shown me a really fabulous new park that I will use a million times over! I highly reccommend you taking your family to Lafayette Square Park and to Park Avenue Coffee for a muffin! You will not be dissapointed! Okay, back to my fabulous family, apparently its becoming winter and I am in serious denial. I am standing by the fact that I am not ready to give up my outdoor shoots but I need to be pushing them back a little later in the morning. Thank you to the Stock family for putting up with that crazy wind and although we are going to reshoot the kiddo's together (blue lips are not what you want hanging on your wall), we got some great shots! M and G their two year old and 6 month old were real troopers and I can't wait to do a session focused on just the two of them. I have some great ideas! I had a hard time choosing what to put up!

We are going to a new system today.. hopefully! The ordering of your images will be so much easier, as a company we are constantly growing which is fantastic! I know I have a few families waiting patiently to view their images and I love you for being so patient! They are coming I promise!

We are growing! As a company as a family and me, myself and I! Lots of things are happening, things I could truly not be more excited about. There is something crazy about sitting back and although my house is a mess, the dog is running across the street and my cookies in the oven are burning I am able to look at my life and enjoy... because everything I ever dreamed is coming true. ALL AT ONCE! They say if you want to see God laugh tell him your plans... I did and he laughed really hard. Its good to see all of your hard work eventually pay off. I say eventually like it has been years but in all honesty its just been a few months...6 to be exact. I have to thank all my friends and family for putting up with me and working with me, you are truly my angels. Thank you for believing in me. Good things are happening for KBK not only have we hooked up with organizations but we are also branching out and hiring another photographer!!! Its so exciting. We are also changing the way your pictures are displayed online I am so excited to go with this new company! That change will be finalized tomorrow and hopefully we will be FINALLY getting our logo next week and a new website! We shall see...

Speaking of growing, last Sunday I photographed T. Man he is so stinking cute, he is about 19 months old and busy, busy, busy. I really need to bottle his energy and drink it constantly! I was still super excited about all the shots I got of him despite the fact that anytime I wanted him to do something he said "No!". I think I am going to say Booger to my kid alot so when they are two they will say Booger when they don't want to do something versus No. When T was about 6 months just before father's day we photographed him in the studio I was working in at the time in a diaper and a tie and it was so cute! I love to hear his voice now, its so sweet and so unique to him. I am so glad that facebook has kept me in touch with so many great people!

First Trimester...

So, I know I am not the first woman in the world to ever become pregnant but let me tell sometimes it really seems like it! I have the worst motion sickness and I can not ride passenger with anyone! If I do even 4 miles with in minutes of arriving to my destination I am getting sick. I have though gotten quite good at knowing in the morning when I wake up whether it will be a sick day or not! I am pretty excited about that. Today, thank god is not. Yesterday, I was not so lucky. Recently I took a photograph of my little friend and although he is so mad at me because I wouldn't let him climb the stairs, as I thought about it I too wanted to stomp my feet and cry like I had never cried before. I too was mad that I can't eat my favorite foods and don't always know what will make me sick. I also want to insert here that Friday's has the best bathrooms for this kind of problem just incase you were wondering. None the less, I too want someone to pick me up and say "You're fine". Thank God I have my mother for that.

I never thought A) I would be one of those photographers that blogged or that B)I would ever accidently forget to blog about a family! Ms. Jennifer's family and her daughter M and I go way back. I think I have been taking M's pics since she was 3 months old and I get to shoot her 1st birthday! I love those first year, you really get to know the family and the child. Even though M does not and has NEVER thought I was funny. Daddy normally has to get all of her smiles out of her. She does not think that I have anything. I love kids like that. We did a great family session in August at Bee Tree Park, it was an amazing morning. I had also just found out I was pregnant and wanted to share it with someone, Jennifer has been so supportive since! I can't wait to shoot M's 1st birthday!

Side note, lot's is happening for the company. I am going to renting a studio from another photographer a couple days a month, so that as the weather turns ugly we can still do shoots! I also hooked up with the Down Syndrome Association and the Rockwood Early Childhood Parents Association and will be photographing their holiday party! I am also doing a session or two every weekend and I am so excited! However, the way we do business will be changing a little as time goes on, prices will be staying the same but how we order will be different starting October 1st. I can't wait to share with you all the changes!

Chris and Angela's Wedding

So, I have no idea how I missed updating about Chris and Angela's wedding but apparently I did! It totally went over my radar! They are an amazing couple and I had such a great time photographing their wedding! We went to Tower Grove Park for photographs, which some of you may know that is my favorite spot in the city, beside City Garden which is best for little people and family! It was so fun and so amazing and they had a huge wedding party who just went along with all my crazy ideas.

Recently, my husband has decided he is a photographer also. Has this happened to anyone else? They do something the love and it spreads to those around them? I guess its good to keep it all in the family, my brother is a sports photographer and he has taken my husband under his wing. So this week my husband has taken my camera to go to TWO Mehlville soccer games to photograph... tonight apparently is a bigger game with newscast and everything. Don't get me wrong I am so glad he is out of the housing doing something besides his xbox, I just wish he did it with his own camera! But its all good... it's good to share in marriage right? Well I was going to post a picture but he took them all and put them on his computer. I will update tonight with a picture!

Well, business is absolutely booming... although at this moment I do not have much to show for it! I will soon, give me til the end of October, life will be good! We have had a couple huge opportunities in the last few weeks. We hooked up with the Down Syndrome Association and will be photographing their fashion show in October and also with the Rockwood Early Childhood Center and will be photographing their PTA Christmas Party! I am hoping that this will really be a great break through for the company... we will also hopefully be placing an ad with kidsinstl.com next month as well! We are also doing a portrait and some family canvas painting shoots! I am so excited!

Also our puppy is growing, since this is the age you would normally get the puppy I can't believe how big she is. She is only going to keep growing and we have no idea how big she will actually get. I am posting a pic on here of her, its not been edited but its super cute. She is almost totally potty trained YAY!!! I really didn't think I would ever be able to say that. It's the most exciting thing ever, you never realize how much work a puppy is until you get one. It's not as easy as your parents made it out to be.

I can't believe it my god daughter is 6 months old already... I feel like I have barely had a chance to see her and yet I see her all the time. She is already getting to that point where she wants to be put down to explore versus you holding her. I hate that stage. I want her to always be my little snuggle buggle. I am only putting up the collage I created for her because well it displays all her cutest faces. Last month for her 5 month I didn't put up anything because she was not smiley at all, teeth maybe. None the less this month makes up for it!

A few weeks ago I photographed my neighbor and her brother and this past week I photographed her and her sister. Her sister was absolutley amazing to work with and so much fun! I love photographing sisters they have no boundaries and run with me when I want them to climb on top of each other or jump in the air! Okay, so I have known the F family since before I was born... their children babysat me when I was little, went to the movies with my brother and their dad worked for the same department as both my parents. I have been begging the mom C to let me shoot her 3 beautiful children and it was so much fun! I also shot her brother M and his son and wife! I love my red heads! We went to this great spot out by Castlewood State Park which let me tell you if you live in West County this is the spot we will be doing so much more at... I love Castlewood now! I did a full session and though I am just going to put a few snippets here hopefully soon I will be getting a real website together as well as keeping my blog and will have a slide show with all the different event possibilities!

This is Gouda...She is fun... well not when she is peeing on the floor, pooping on the floor, whining, chewing on our computer cords, scratching at the door, walking though her water bowl, or eating all the dog food. But she is soft and cuddly, and super sweet, her and Colby are best friends already. She has a great little bark and when she runs she hops along her back legs. She is definitely a keeper. Ask me in 9 months though how I feel about her when she is 65 pounds and running through my house...

Last week, well actually about two weeks ago I got the greatest opportunity to photography my neighbor and her brother. He was in town and they hadn't had pictures together since his first birthday, he is now 18. He also did not get to do senior pics so we did a little mini session for that as well. I am realizing I really need a website with a gallery that shows my pics as a slide show. Life has been really crazy lately, with summer ending and still trying to cram a million sessions in over the fall, cleaning the house oh and we got a new puppy. I will post her pics in a minute she is super cute! None the less I again got to shoot at Bee Tree Park, my favorite place in the south county area! Here's a few!

Wow, I can't believe how fast the summer has absolutely flown by, seriously does it have to go by faster and faster every year. I have been slammed, working/running/keeping up with Kids Being Kids Photography and launching Sweet Events has totally taken up my life. But in the mean time I got to catch up with an old friend (she's not old I have just known her awhile) and her two beautiful children at my new favorite place in the world Tower Grove Park! We had a great time running around and they were so good together! I think they are ages 4 and 2 and you just never know how a two year old is going to react but Abbie was amazing!

I have been sneaking in a few mini sessions that are just for me and just for fun! Sometimes, I cant believe that 3 years ago I wasn't doing photography like I am now and sometimes for a second I think really you want me to look through this camera and take smiling pictures of this snot nosed kid? That is at the studio only... I can't believe how little a white background does for a 2 year old... it shows no personality. I think I have scarred my family and friends as well as myself in never getting studio portraits! A white background describes ABSOLUTELY nothing about the little people in your life who have so much personality! Sorry, just a little soap box in my world. Anyway, sometimes when I am shooting your session you may or may not notice that I snap photos of things around us and not neccessarily your children. Sometimes, I can't help it I am chasing your children and BAM something jumps out at me that I have to photograph! These are just a few of those things!

So Ms. Maggie, the last time I really remember her she was 4 and had blonde hair in a pony tail and she was bounding down the steps now she is a gorgeous young woman and she is telling me about fashion and her dreams of becoming a wedding planner (yes.. that is music to my ears!). Slammed... yea that pretty much sum's up my weeks right now, I love it! I want it to always be this way... I am sorry to the people who I have not called in weeks or who have called and I haven't answered. If it makes you feel any better I haven't seen my neighbor who lives NEXT DOOR in almost 2 1/2 weeks... except in passing when I am driving and she is walking or vice versa. However much I love being busy and I am loving all these amazing sessions I am doing I am not getting to post on here as often I would like so tonight I am going slam my blog with a ton of posts. Well as many as I can keep my eyes open for... and here is... Steph's kids! I love them, the oldest is into fake smiling, or not smiling and wouldn't say any of my funny words and the youngest is a total ham! I am so happy I will be photographing them over the next few years I can't wait to watch them grow!

So, I have learned that everything I posted before my last post Happy Thursday was considered SOOC... which means straight out of camera. I have now learned a little better editing techniques and am excited to say they have really turned my pictures from beautiful to stunning! Please don't think that my lack of post's have been because I am not busy, that is completely not the case. I am slammed. I am however booking sessions for August! On Sunday morning, I was able to photograph a lot of beautiful people but one of my favorites was Caiti. When I was 16, I some how landed a babysitting job for my neighbors at the time their kids were 8,6, and 3 and 9 months. I fell in love with all of them but especially their 9 month old David. Needless, to say David and I hung out ALOT. As the years have gone by I have loved this family so much and to stay in contact with them as close as I have has truly been a blessing. I remember Caiti laying on the floor in the hallway and she was absolutely uncontrollable, I had no power over her whatsoever. I believe this may have been in the same week that she set the clocks back and her and her sister stayed up like an extra hour. None the less, in my desperate need to punish her for being as mouthy, and relentless as she was I set her at the table to cut 100 individual circles. That punishment has stayed with us for almost 10 years now and I can still look at her brothers and say "Do you want to cut circles?" and the behavior stops immediately. I was absolutely blown away by her beauty this Sunday I didn't realize that underneath those soccer cleats, gym shorts and t-shirts is an absolutely stunning young woman. I also had quite a few other sessions but more to come from those later!

Today, as I am sitting in my office, realizing my kitchen and my house are a wreck, my office is piled high with papers and books about photoshop and my phone has 7 voice mails on it I realized that I am absolutely the happiest I have ever been. Next to the day I became Mrs. Andrew Brockmeyer of course, although that day was filled with stress and nervous giggling we did survive. Someone asked me the other day at the studio how long I have been doing photography and I almost choked when I told them a year and 3 months. That's it... that's all... I can't believe how every session I do I am learning more and my work is improving every single day. I am so proud of myself. I love the freedom that this company is bringing me and the joy of getting to meet new people and total and complete relaxation I recieve from spending the day at my laptop editing away. I can't imagine my life being any other way.

When I worked at SSD, there were only a few days in 5 years that I can look back and say wow that was a great day, there were many great minutes and moments but rarely was a whole day good. How sad is that? It kills me to not be with my kids every day of the week but I have to say I love my relationship's with them now, we have a higher level of respect and we love each other but I am now the fun one! I don't really discipline but we go swimming and do silly things together. I could never have imagined 3 years ago that I would be building my own company now and loving my life as much as I do. I wouldn't take anything back... it was the greatest journey to get where I am now.

Today, I photographed two beautiful teenagers from North Carolina, their grandmother lives in St. Louis and she was referred to me by another client of mine. We went to Bee Tree Park to shoot Grant's senior pictures and to update Courtney's. They were so much fun, I loved getting them in shot's together and not trying to sqeeze them on a white background. We had so many options to choose for backgrounds it was very hard to narrow down. I thought I would just share a few with you!

It's been a minute since I have posted not that we haven't been busy, I just haven't made it to the computer! We have been slammed with portrait parties and they are so much fun! We have booked quite a few for the fall and I am so excited! None the less, my lil' Brockmeyer family skipped the usual festivities this year and went down to the Black River! My husband has property down there and we spent Saturday night into Sunday with his parents. It was a great mini trip and we got to see alot of the country side! Our property is right across from Johnson Shut Inn's it is so gorgeous!!! Drew's uncle has bought a couple property's down in the country and this tree with the reflection is on his 80 acre farm its perfect I love how still the water is, like glass! The metal swing bench is on the front porch of this old farm house, I love it in sepia, it makes me want to sit down with a lemonade and stay awhile. The house and the barn on this property are over 100 years old and they even have a stone well house and a fresh water spring! It's just perfect. Also Drew's aunt Suzanne stumbled upon this old mill on private property in Lesterville, it is tiny but perfectly intact. It has 3 wonderful waterfalls and thanks to my brother we were able to figure out how to leave the shutter open to capture this beautiful water flow. The large sign in the bottom right had corner says Private Property in orange crayon so we didn't leave the road but we still were able to get great shots! I hope you enjoy them as much as we did and look forward to giving sneak peeks to the other sessions we have this week!

Baby Boy 2 weeks...

Yesterday I also photographed Braylon and his Mom and Dad, it was so hot out that we needed to be creative inside their house and it worked out awesome! He is still just so tiny I can't even believe it! He is like 5 pounds 6 oz this week and I can't wait to do his photos again in a month, I can't wait to see how much he has grown! I love his Mom and Dad, they are good friends of ours and it was great to see them all dressed up.

I can't believe how big my god daughter is getting, seriously every day she is looking more and more like Cloey. It's bizarre I thought babies leaned towards one parent or another but she doesn't she just looks like herself. It is so fun! Since its summer now we are starting a little bit of what some may call baby torture... but its not I promise. I bought this super cute teapot to put her in a few months ago and she is finally supporting herself enough I was able to stick her in it. Granted, she was not happy at all and infact I think if she could talk she would have not many nice things to say to me but too bad she is stuck with me for life! I am also so proud of how beautiful she is, she is changing every day and already losing her baby look, she is growing so fast!

This week and last week and part of next week Drew's car is in the shop. I honestly and truthfully have no idea how married people can share car. It truly takes alot of organizing. I have had to pack everything in on Wednesday and Friday which is fine but slightly a pain. None the less I do have to say that yesterday I got to go to the pool with my new neighbor Krystal who I love and today I did what alot of families are calling a "staycation", meaning you spend your vacation time at home. I was feeling a little cabin fever and decided to bare the heat and take a few shots around the yard. I think it is still good to just shoot for fun, I did not edit these photo's just tagged them and thought I would share them. Wedding Bells...

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Kristine and Vinny and Nikki for believing in me. I have only talked to a few other people about photographing their wedding but everyone wanted someone more experienced. You have truly opened doors for me. I am so proud and excited the way your photo's turned out and I can't wait to sit down with you as we go over them. To everyone else, HA! I did it and I did it well. Okay, I am not bitter but I am sad that they didn't have the faith. I just want to post a few for the bride and groom and I wish I would have done less posed and more go over there and be yourselves. That is a great lesson learned, but still none the less they are awesome!! My second photographer shot on film so I have to wait to get her's from Target on CD so I can edit. I am so glad I am digital because film is a real pain in the you know what. I know they will be fabulous though because that is how much she rocks! Baby Boy Braylon

Last week a girlfriend of mine had her first baby boy Braylon, I love his name, its so unique! He is SO little or was he has probably grown a ton in the last week. I am excited to do their first family pictures in a month and I am taking his one week pictures tomorrow! He was only 5 pounds last week when he was born and he was so tiny, I couldn't believe it!! I love the picture of the curl on the back of his head, its one of those fabulous little things that we will be glad we have when he is 16. I also love his little toes with Mommy's ring, I can't wait to keep you all posted with Braylon's pictures in the next few months!

I truly believe that God places special kids on Earth so people like myself learn amazing life lessons. Anna, my little friend in this post is one of those kids. She absolutely rocks my world. Anna has autism and cerebal palsy, I was her therapist with SSD for 4 years. I was so excited to take her pictures and she was absolutely the smiliest kid ever for about 12 minutes. I took about 200 pictures of her and these are a few of my favorites. After she was done smiling she was done. It was one of those days were she was like "Okay, I am going to smile and play for 10 minutes and if you don't get what you need than too bad for you", that's Anna's personality to a tee as well.

Another Great Day At The Park!

I took M to the park today for about an hour and he was so fun! I am sure I keep saying this but I just can't get over how big he is! He is climbing up the slide now (yes I do set a good example for the other kids) and he loved climbing in and out of the tube. There were two other little boys there that kept walking up and getting in his face saying "Baby" it was so cute! M like it for a minute and then was like AHH get away from me! I took some great shots and I can't wait to do more playground sessions! I think everyone has a digital camera now and thinks they can really capture their child at the park but I think parents miss alot of great smiles and faces because they are just not photographers. I saw it happen to atleast 3 mom's today, thankfully I had cards to deliver to them!

Family Pics at Des Peres Park

On Saturday, I walked in my old shoes of being a therapist and got to see the two girls that ruled my world for while. I absolutely loved them like my own! I can not express how much I care for these kiddos and their families for 3 1/2 years I was with these kiddos for 40 hours a week. I am still working on my second session but here are a few from the first. The oldest daughter has autism but she let me pose her and smiled and she was so great I could not have asked for a better model! I am so excited I am going to start getting to see her more! I did these sessions at Des Peres Park and although the lake was not open I still got some great shots. I love the shots I got and I keep looking at them and am more and more excited! I can't wait to show them to mom and dad this week! In the picture where the little girl is laying with her back on Dad's back she was cracking up it was so great!

Cloey's 3 month... kind of

Ok, so every one knows that we are still working on figuring out the kinks of shooting babies inside your home. With Cloey's 3 month pictures I should have used the coffee table and propped up the background some how. But everyday is a learning process and I am excited to learn as I go. She is getting so big and moving closer to my favorite age every day! She was smiley for the 10 seconds she lasted last week so we will try again next week outside maybe.

House blow's up in South County

Apparently, just around the corner from house at about 10 pm last night a house blew up...shhh they didn't say the cause but a reporter that I was talking to said it may have been a meth lab. None the less we had fun using the Nikon at night. I only got a few shots that I love...maybe 2 but I thought I would share them here none the less. The last shot just shows how they had firetrucks from everywhere on both sides of the road, Telegraph was completely shut down. The first shot is the reflection of the firetrucks lights in the water, I love it!!! I really think I may sell it on etsy. I have sold a few prints on there and it does blow my mind what people will buy. The shot in the middle I wish I would have been on the otherside of the Valvoline sign because I love the police officer in the dust and smoke. I haven't figured out how to crop it just right but I will.

Matteo's 2nd Birthday!

Oh my goodness, I went to my first Thomas themed birthday party and it was fabulous... despite the terrential downpour! My other photographer Jennifer her son turned 2 and he is absolutely adorable. He was so funny and loved all the attention. I can't imagine how fun it is when your kids realize what it means it's their birthday. He loved opening the first present and was very confused when he couldn't get the play doh out right then and he just jammed through the tissue paper, throwing it left and right! It was great. In one card he received a couple of those $1 coins and he kept saying "Pighey Bank", yes I did stick and h in there it is how he say's it. He was not satisfied until his uncle tracked down his blue piggy bank and he got to put his money in! He is such a sweet little boy and I absolutely loved taking his pictures! I can't wait to do more birthday parties!!! Oh and side note these are not enhanced at all, to be honest I love them just the way they are!

Today, I took pictures of a high school friend of mine that I recently reconnected with. I am absolutely in awe of the shots and she is so gorgeous I can't believe it. I am so thankful to all the people who are being my guppies I can't thank you enough! Today, we found a new spot at Forest Park to take pictures and I absolutely fell in love with it... I can't wait to get two little goobers down there in their swimsuits and let them just play away! Keshia was the perfect model she didn't make me say funny words, or bounce things off my head although I bet she is sad she missed it. Next time... Next time I will use my magic kid smiling words like Stinky Feet, Purple Boogers and Monkey Nose.

Today, I went and did a session with a friend of mine actually my old roommate, he and his wife just had their 3rd child and he is such a chunker. He was a few weeks early and still he weighed 9 pounds he would have been a full grown watermelon if he would have made it full term! He is just the cutest little thing ever... He was so patient and sweet. Nolan has two fabulous sisters Kaitlyn and Abby and they were so much fun to work with. I don't know if I could have done it with out Kaitlyn she just graduated high school and is so mature for her age! Ms. Abby has a mind of her own and has a vocabulary that no two year old should have but she is so funny! We had a great time doing pictures of the kids individually and together and some with dad and his new son! I can not wait to work with them through all of Nolan's milestones! I absolutely love the one of the kids feet together and their house in the background it is so cute!!!

1st Day At The Winery

Recently in my previous life before my best friend had her baby going to the wineries was really about drinking wine and eating feta cheese dip and P'sghetti's sandwiches. Currently, our trips are about how Cloey likes the grass, can she see the pond, will she lay on her tummy on the grass and you can imagine all the possibilities that we probably came up with too. So, while we drank a bottle of wine we also played with the baby, made her smile, listened to her giggle and of course laid her on her tummy on the grass... let me tell you how much she loved that! She isn't really a tummy baby as of yet. I absolutely love the picture with the big drop of drool probably not everyone wants to see that but I think it is so cute! She also put her feet together perfectly for me she is my life long model I can tell already! I am doing a session every day for through the next week so check back often to see different families!

Ok, so alot of people keep asking me if Cloey is my kiddo...she is not. She is my god daughter and I have known her mommy since we were born. We are just a few weeks apart and I can't ever remember a time in my life with out her! I absolutely love Cloey with all my heart and soul and have had an amazing time taking her pictures so far. We just did a family session this Sunday with Kristi and Andy Smith and it was so fun! Kristi's boy's are just 15 months and 5 months so though it was challenging it was such a good time! We started at Forest Park by the waterfall and ended at Laumeirer and in the fall we are going to take pictures by the basin! They were such great models I can't wait to work with them more in the future!

So, I had my first spring family session outside and it was so much fun! I can't believe these kiddos actually listened to me I see them like 4 times a week and basically consider them my own! The pictures turned out so adorable and I had forgotten how gorgeous my little friends are. I did a few group shots and a lot of individuals they weren't too agreeable because they hadn't been told previously so it was a little out of there routine. None the less they let me do what I needed to do and it was an awesome experience.

So Drew and I went to Memphis for a mini vacation and it was not a very artsy place for me. Maybe because I almost terrified to walk the streets with my big honkin' camera, I had this crazy fear that someone was going to jump out and try to grab it from me. So unfortunately it mostly stayed in the hotel room. Although, we had a crazy trip it was very very fun! We received a personal tour of the Redbirds Stadium, this picture that looks like a drawing is what happens when people choose a club room for more than 10 years, they pay up front and get to decorate it however they want. These people chose to go with a blue grass theme like New Orleans and I love their style. It was such a fun place! Also, at the stadium when you get season tickets they put a plaque on your chair that reserves it as yours with your name on it. I just love how all the chairs look like they run together... I don't know I just like the shot I guess. Then of course there is my little snipit of Beale Street, it was impossible to try and get a full street shot there were so many people and not quite the safest place to have my camera at night. But anyway, I love how just having a little of the sign makes it common enough to be anywhere but yet not. It was such a fun place to be, I absolutely love Memphis none the less!

There is one picture the bottom left one that I took at Christine's house on her bed, I love it, Chloe is sleeping so sweetly. I love capturing little fingers and toes, they are so cute. I absolutely love her profile picture... its not often that a 4 week old baby will hold their head that high for very long. Also, of course I love crying babies... there is just something so sweet about it. I know all of you parents are thinking oh no not crying pictures I can take those at home but you toss it in black and white and its beautiful!

I have seen on a ton of other photographer's websites these awesome storyboards, I wanted to create them also. I think I have figured out a basic way but will need to upgrade to a different program to do fancier ones like I want. I just want everyone to know things are looking good for Kids Being Kids, keep us in mind for all events and we really do look forward to seeing you from behind our camera!

Whew.. Where did January go?

Oh my, I have no idea where the month of January went. Please don't think I wasnt crazy busy taking pictures I was I just have not had a minute to post them. I have done a few sessions with special needs kiddos and lots and lots of doors are opening. I also found out my pictures are on a website for a school for special needs kids. You can check them out at www.giantsteps-stlouis.org/home.html. I was very excited! Things are good I just got a new camera the Nikon d90 its gorgeous and perfect and everything I ever and always wanted. I am doing a few weddings this spring and lots of engagement sessions, birth sessions and more opportunities to get involved in the special needs kids community. Don't forget about us, the company is growing!

Fluttering Butterflies

I wanted to do something artsy today, something that would take away the studio and coarseness of my photography life right now. I love the studio don't get me wrong, but its the holidays and the reasons people are coming in are for rigid holiday photos that they do EVERY year! I want to capture their childrens true spirits and real interactions with each other. Currently, I am not getting to do that. I have wanted to go to the Butterfly House for awhile and finally I got a chance at 9 am this morning. That is truly the best time to go, you are not being stumbled over by small children and grandparents and its just you and the butterflies. You really get to experience the beauty and the peacefulness that 2000 different species of butterflies can provide. While I was there I caught some really great shots that I can't wait to put up in my new house as well as butterflies mating and sleeping and drinking. They were just each so unique and colorful, I want to paint my walls some of the colors but how to capture that is beyond me. I highly reccomend everyone go to the Butterfly house it is by far worth your 6 dollars just remember you don't need your coat inside its like 110 degrees!

7 Months and Growing Big!

Today, I did my little man's pictures! He has gotten so big and I love seeing him every Tuesday. He is very busy and quick he is constantly putting things in his mouth. He is the happiest baby in the world and has the biggest smiles as you can see! His mom didn't want studio pictures and it was a great learning experience for me to learn that I need a new camera!

St. Charles in September

About 2 weeks before the wedding, I tracked my happy self all the way up north to St. Charles. I went to look for good spots for engagement photos for a friend of mine in the spring. I had a very relaxing day, just me before all the chaos. I also got to have lunch with my Dad at Lewis and Clarks restaurant, it was a great day over all. None of the pictures I am posting are of any of the places that I decided I would take engagement shots but they are all ones that I really love. The picture of the door and the window is what really inspired my Windows on the World book. I love the two rose pictures, there is something interesting about a shot that has one part in focus and the rest blurry. I stumbled upon the feather on the brick it was so unique and alone. There is something clean about cobblestone and I love it. Keep checking back for more shots there will be alot more coming up in the next few weeks.

Here are some photos that I didn't post but I have edited, I absolutely love being able to color accent the photos. The first one is of a construction worker at Ground Zero and he was so hallow. He looked like he had been working there since day 1 and was just fried emotionally, mentally and physically. Drew took the picture after a big cement truck had left ground zero and they were shutting the gates. The shoes picture I took at a corner somewhere past Times Square I love! The woman wearing the shoes was straight out of gossip girl, she looked so professional and her black shoes were just eye catching to me. I have no idea who she is and maybe that is what I like about this picture, she can be any woman and every woman all rolled into one. I used a color accent to keep the shoes shiny and make everything else gray scale. I love it. The 3rd picture is what I am calling Window's on the World, I would love to eventually do a book full of them but this one I adore. There is something magical about how alive the tree is and I feel like I am looking out the window instead of into it. The MM's rock my world too, there is something antique about the black and white and futuristic about the color. I like that the reflection of the candy is black and white. I don't know it may just be me but I dig it.

Arlington National Cemetery... enough said!

Arlington National Cemetery was really interesting much better than I thought it would be. We saw a lot of interesting people's graves and I learned that I am distantly related to General Richard Montgomery and he was the guy who decided Arlington would be our national cemetery. We visited the Kennedy graves and I guess it was just before our time because I didn't feel the same emotion that a lot of the elderly women felt as they stood there crying. We were also privy to the changing of the guard at first we thought we had missed it but the guard stopped us so the new guard could come out. It was really cool to see all of it from beginning to end. Drew took about 202 pictures of just the changing of the guard I won't bore you to have to see each step taken. Side note I just learned I can spell check on here, I will be doing that more often. 2nd side note, I also type like I speak and since I don't feel as though I am being graded that is what you are going to get. There were alot of great scenic views from Arlington Cemetery and rows and rows of military graves. We learned there are 350 from the Iraq/Afghanistan wars and 293,000 graves from other wars. Oh, I forgot to tell you how we got lost before getting to Arlington and accidently went to the current Fort Meyer , we pull up and the guard is like go to the right make a U-turn and exit out of here. We make the right and it pulls us up to check point where people are opening their trunks, their hoods and all the doors so their cars can be searched. It was so creepy! It makes me so sad that they have to do that.

National Archives...everything I ever wanted to see!

National Archives was amazing (I feel like I am using this word alot)! We stood in the first line we had to stand in while in D.C. waiting to see the Freedom Papers. It took us about 25 minutes just to get in the door, then they make you put all your belongings on the conveyor belt and bark orders that you barely understand. I understand they have to but all the documents sit in airtight containers on top of elevators that at any minute can be plunged into the under Earth for their protection. Anyway, there were some really awesome pictures and information about archives and did you know the second largest archive location is in ST. LOUIS?!?!? I thought that was really cool. The line to get into the Rotunda was about 35 minutes long so I waited and Drew went and sat down. Meanwhile because I am a chatty cathy I started talking to another couple and they too were on their honeymoon and they got married on the 18th. Very small world, I think although they got married in Texas. Once we finally got into see the documents the room was very dark and the Declartion of Independence was so deteriorated it just looked like yellow paper. I shouldn't say thing like that but it did. I did not take pictures of the documents, a) I was scared that I would push the wrong button and a flash would go off and they would tackle me to the ground with guns and b) I knew that my little crappy camera wouldn't do them any justice. It kind of annoyed Drew that I didn't take any pictures so when we got to the gift shop we bought a kit that has all 3 and if and when we find a house you will see them displayed in our bar. We are very excited! We also saw the Magna Carta which was out on display for a few weeks. There are only 4 copies in the whole world.

A Day at the Museum

Well, I tried to think of a funny title for Natural Museum but that's all I could come up with, before I had Visiting the Museum, real creative here. We are actually in Manassas, Virginia right now we didn't make it too far yesterday but I am a little back logged in pictures. Just to give you an idea of how backlogged, we went to Arlington Cemetary and Drew took 298 pictures. Anyway, two days ago we went to the Smithsonian Natural History Museum and I was so excited. I had convinced myself there was an aquarium there, I was a little wrong its actually down the street so we didn't even get to see it. But, the Natural History Museum was really exciting none the less and if I was about 10 years old it would be so cool I couldn't stand it. However, we did enjoy the dinasours and this REALLY COOL, did I tell you just how cool it was 3-D Imax movie. I can't remember if the Science Center has one or not but oh man, this was probably the best $8.50 I have ever spent! I wanted to try and take a picture through my 3-D glasses but the guards around the capital and inside the theater are kind of scary so I didn't want to risk anything. There was a really big Ocean exhibit that was pretty neat with a huge whale hanging from the ceiling, everything in that place is sized to scale or they have a little note letting you know how much smaller it really is. I have to admit it was all very amazing. We also found out that Night at the Museum 2 was just filmed at the Natural History Museum, so that should be fun when it comes out to know that I just saw a bunch of that stuff! Oh and while we were there we saw the Hope Diamond, going into it I thought it was going to be much larger than it truly is. Don't get me wrong for being a solid mass of diamond worth more than my life it is very nice sized! I also put up a picture of Drew in his 3-D glasses hehehe

Segwaying around D.C.

We have decided that eventually we are going to buy a segway! They are fabulous, they are electrically powered, and just a little lean here and a little lean there and you can go anywhere! We did two tours one during the day and one at night, the one at night although cold was definetly my favorite. I will modge podge pictures together and when we get home we will tell you a ton of information that we learned. The tours are 3 hours long, so you get to see a ton of the city, we cruised the mall and the museums and we saw the WWII memorial at night. It was so gorgeous! If you ever get a chance you have to see D.C. at night the capitol is so gorgeous! Oh, as we were passing the White House on our evening tour we heard all these helicoptors and the President was leaving, it was crazy loud! Needless to say we had a great time and Drew wants to open a City Segway Tour Company in St. Louis. If we do you guys all get free rides!
